The Hidden Reason Why You Don’t Meet Your Business Goals… Long Term

(Or: Why You Keep Riding The Rollercoaster)

I recently did a survey with my coaching community.

I asked the following question:

Q: okay, honesty time - why do you think you have NOT achieved the results you want already?

Can you guess what the No.1 most common response was?

It was this:

The No.1 answer:

“Well, I HAVE done it before, I just slid back into old habits.”

As true as this is for many people, it still doesn’t explain WHY.

So to find out, we need to look at the second most common answer.

And it was this…

Answer:

“Because I don’t have the proper information. There’s too much conflicting information out there.”

BINGO.

Let’s look at this a little deeper because it can mean the difference between the rollercoaster and struggling… to succeeding wildly with more ease and flow.

On the surface, it seems simple, right. Learn how to get cash when you need it, create the right business for you, and feel good about your business.

Okay, but we all know it’s not that simple.

For instance, what exactly does the “right business for you” mean?

And how do you get cash when you need it?


If you drew a chart as to all the choices we seemingly have to make, it would look something like this:

Look at all those choices and decisions we have to make!

And each one has its own set of pros and cons, facts and “alternative facts”. Etc.

Now isn’t that ridiculous?

If you’ve ever been frustrated with your progress and overwhelmed with the amount of conflicting information we get on a seemingly daily basis, is there any wonder why?

It leads to jumping on bandwagons that are doomed from the start.

If this is you, I want you to know it’s not your fault!

Think of that one coach who works really hard day in, day out, and months later they still have the exact same business with no real visible progress.

If I could hang a thought bubble above every coach I’ve seen in that situation, it would read something like this:

“My life is a never-ending cycle of trying to get more clients. When I get them my time is filled coaching them, and when their contracts end I have no clients again so I start the process all over again.”

Do you see how insane that is?

Look, it’s not that person’s fault either.
